This is terrifying

Mission accomplished!

Thanks so much for playing, really appreciate it :)

couldn't seem to get the button to work at all, tried pressing it from everywhere i could, as well as trying to scale up while under it. i like the concept though!

Thank you! Yeah, been having some trouble figuring the button bug out as I can't get it replicated on this end. Indeed, a mystery to be solved lol.

Thanks so much for playing!

Really cool concept!

Many thanks!!

the button glitch is simple it only triggers when you hit the left edge of the button

Thanks for the feedback! Looking into this but having some trouble replicating it. Played on a few different browsers and systems and seems to be working on my side. Hope I can get sorted soon! If you're able to provide a vid/gif/pic of it happening, that would help loads!

Thanks for playing :)

I liked the concept! I got stuck at the button press point. I kept trying to scale up, but nothing happened.

Oh shit, haven't encountered that bug yet! Will look into it!

Are you standing below the button and scaling up against it? And then it doesn't trigger? I know you need to keep colliding with it to keep raising the "gate". You'll hear an alarm sound as well.

If/when you can, please drop a vid/gif so I can have a gander.

Glad you enjoyed it otherwise. Thanks for playing!

hes coming! AAAA

cool stuff!

He's still haunting my nightmares. I'll never look at red blocks the same again!

Kudos for playing :)

This is brilliant! How dare you make something this good in a game jam I'm participating in!

Thank you!!

Major apologies, next time I'll try to be less better haha :)

Glad you dug it, thanks for playing!

This game gave me anxiety haha. But I mean that in a good way, I love how intense a little red rectangle can be as an enemy

Sick, certainly what I aimed for! Awesome how much music makes a difference.

Thanks for playing and dropping a comment!

Great game there are a couple buggy things, but very good and most importantly fun!

Glad you you enjoyed it and had some fun :)

Yeah, certainly has a few bugs I need to iron out. If/when you have a chance, let me know which bugs you encountered. Making a list I'm going to tackle once we're post jam!

Currently, know about the collisions of the player/enemy being a bit buggy.

Damn, this is really a cool mechanic, the tension was pretty neat, you should keep working on this

Thank you, really appreciate it! Indeed aiming to work on this further. One of my first solo projects I'm keen on taking further.

Kudos for playing!

Never have I had so much fear in my life. Good lord

(1 edit)

Haha, glad I could inspire a bit of fear. They say it's good for the heart! Amen.

The idea was good, that was cool

Thanks, appreciate it!

My sister and I played this game together in turns, and she declared it "the scariest game I ever did saw :00," so I think you made something cool here (:

Omg, I love this :)

Thanks for playing and taking the time to give feedback! Appreciate the kind comments!

For how simple the game looks, its really fun to play! The music is awesome and the tension is really well done.

Some runs felt much more difficult than others. I also found some bugs (I could grow smaller than expected lol) image.png

I believe fixing those bugs and adding some cool sound effects and visuals could really elevate this from a cool game idea to an awesome game.

Thanks so much for playing, glad you enjoyed it!

Kudos on the music! I was a bit strapped for time when it came to music/sfx so really glad you liked it. Never made a trance-like song before :)

Haha! Thanks for pointing it out (infinite scaling), just fixed it! Totally forgot about it. Wanted to kind of leverage it at one point so that you could "hide" from the killer, but decided not to (because time) and forgot to reset it.

If/when you can, do let me know what other bugs you encountered. Want to use this project to learn how to really refine the gameplay (bug-free) as much as I can, post-jam.

One other bug I was struggling with was the collision between player and enemy not always triggering the Game Over. Next on my list of fixes :)

Thanks for the feedback and playing!

there were some bugs but i love the tension of getting through

Thanks for playing! Glad the tension came through nicely :)

Yes, sure there are some bugs! Haven't worked with coding in a very long time, so it's been quite the learning curve again. If and when you have a chance, please let me know what bugs you encountered.

I do know about the infinite scaling issue, which I fixed.

And then, sometimes, when touching the enemy the Game Over screen doesn't trigger immediately. Still working on that, but believe I'll only get to that after the jam.

Thanks!
